Tip of the Week
Thousands of fires are caused every year due to lint build up in dryer vents. first of all, white vinyle flex vent should not be used, it collects lint and should a fire occur within it, it wll not contain the fire, possibly spreading. Next, it is important to keep the venting as short as possible and reduce any bends and sagging that you can. the shorter and straighter the vent the quicker the clothes will dry, saving you time and money. it is very important to remove and thoroughly clean your venting at least several times per year. You can purchase brushes that do very well or you can vacuum it out. On long vents, a yard leaf blower works very well and make sure the outside flapper is not restricted and opens and closes easily. Keep it clean!
